Absolutely! As we live and work on our farm, you may spot us looking after our horses, cattle or sheep or doing odd jobs. We're here to ensure you have a fantastic experience, but we respect your privacy and space.
We've designed the accommodation to offer you as much privacy as possible during your stay. Tucked away at the top of the property, the cabin is out of sight from our house, so you can relax and enjoy your time away undisturbed.

While we understand the importance of staying connected, we intentionally do not provide WiFi in our tiny home. Our goal is for guests to disconnect from the digital world and embrace the opportunity to unwind.
-
Off-grid simply means that our tiny house operates independently of public utilities. Instead, we use solar power for electricity, a water tank for our water supply, and a composting toilet (you can find more on this in the other FAQs). This setup allows you to enjoy a comfortable stay while minimising your environmental impact.
-
So toilets might not be the first thing you think about when planning a weekend away, but we often get asked how our composting toilet works. Here’s a quick overview: the toilet breaks down waste using organic materials like sawdust or peat moss (don’t worry, this is provided). Microorganisms speed up decomposition, turning waste into odourless compost. It’s an eco-friendly solution that minimises environmental impact, using no water and producing nutrient-rich fertiliser for plants.
-
Our farm stay is best suited for adults and families with older children. Due to the nature of our off-grid cabin and the working farm environment, it is not suitable for small children or babies.
If you have older children who are comfortable exploring the outdoors and can respect farm safety guidelines, they are most welcome to join you for a memorable rural experience!
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about suitability for your family.

As much as we love pets, we have to keep our tiny home pet-free for the comfort of all our guests.

There's a lot to keep you entertained during your stay:
Bushwalking: Explore local walking trails just a short drive away. We recommend Djidi-Djidi (Willie Wagtail in Noongar language) Ridge.
Stargazing: Bindoon is officially listed as an astro tourism town!
Relax by the fire: Cosy up by the fire-pit, roast marshmallows, and enjoy a glass of local wine.
Wildlife spotting: Look out for kangaroos, wallabies, and other local wildlife. Echidna's have occasionally been seen.
Yoga: The deck is the perfect place to stretch and meditate on the view.
Reading: Curl up in bed with a good book.
Nothing: Because life’s busy enough already!
-
Once you’re here, we’re sure you’ll be so relaxed that you won’t want to leave. But if you do get itchy feet, Bindoon village is just 4 kilometers away. It's also a great place to stop on your way to grab supplies. You’ll find several roadside farm stalls offering fresh fruits and veggies, or you can enjoy a hearty meal at the local pub—all within easy reach of our farm.

If the Fire Behaviour Index (FBI) reaches 50 or higher, indicating an extreme fire danger rating, we are unable to operate for safety reasons. Should this happen, we will contact you via email to reschedule your stay or offer a full refund. While extreme fire ratings are rare, they can occur during periods of high heat and dry conditions. We appreciate your understanding and are here to answer any questions.
